Marion County Courthouse

Built in 1906 in Knoxville, Iowa, the Marion County Courthouse is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Slate Work:

  • 80 squares Vermont Unfading Purple slate on Main Roof.
  • 15 squares Vermont Unfading Red slate on 160' Clock Tower
  • 2000 square feet of flat seam copper flat roofs
  • Extensive structural modification of complete roof structure, wood and steel.
  • Rebuilding of 12 masonry dormers.
  • Rebuilding of 4 large masonry gable walls.
  • Rebuilding of masonry gutter and wall.
  • Complete demolition and remodeling for entire 4th floor, including the court room.

Copper Work:

  • Replicated Copper Cornice on Clock Tower.
  • New Copper Dormers with passive vents on Clock Tower.
  • Three New 15' Tall Copper Vents which were custom fabricated to match those found in historical photos.
  • Custom Copper Finial.
  • Custom Copper Cladding on Windows.
  • Round Copper Wall Vents.
  • Custom Copper Ridge to resemble original clay ridge tiles.
  • New Built-in Copper Gutters - 400 linear feet.
  • 2,000 square feet of flat seam copper flat roofs.
